Dont pay any attention to the creecking and popping when you launch at 5000. I hope they stick better then these dang Nitto 555's.
The launch isnt to bad, but the shift to second with blow them off every time.
What tire size did you end up going with?

Creeking and popping? I probably won't be able to hear that over the motor anyway. I was gonna get the Powerhouse aluminum driveshaft and upper control arm but that is $900 for 10-15HP. Little to lean for me right now.
I got the 265/40's Mickey Thompsons. They don't lose grip, but hard part is getting a good lauch with the manual. I've dropped the clutch at 4000 and it just bogs down so that's why I'm gonna step it up a notch.

RE: Centerville next weekend
Well, you know i screwed up with the 4 10 gears and the shorter tires. It helped my 60 ft times but killed my overall E.T. I don't want to pull the 4 10s out, becouse the car is alot of fun to drive with them, so I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the taller tire.
I was also thinking about the drop down brackets for the rear trailing arms. They bolt to the rearend brackets and lower the rear of the arms. That should help the foward bite alot beings the arms are almost level from Shelby lowering the car and not doing anything to correct the angles. I am new to dragracing, but have done alot of suspension work on dirt modifieds. The more angle up on the control arms helps lift the car. Also, the third link needs to be dropped at the "frame" end, to also help with axle roll putting weight on the lower arms. I have seen adjustable 3rd link bars, which is needed to correct pinion angle, also something Shelby didn't do. But I haven't seen a drop down bracket for the 3rd link.
These are some of the Things I have been thinking about doing to the car. Hey Shane, what do you think about these ideas? I think it should help in road racing to.

$900 for 10-15 like awesome when dealing with the audi i drive everyday...sucks when normal parts like catback exhausts are 1000 dollars.

Awesome. That is what I'm thinking too. These things are like a whole nother beast when the temperature drops. Probably be last outting before she gets some upgrades this winter too. Want to get a good baseline on my time.
